I volunteered, to Tim, to write the article for March 8th, Aliso Creek Beach.
I’d like to say just one two-word phrase—“Freezing cold.” (Phil, we were so happy to see you and the new knee, but, HOLY COW!...
SHORTS?) We were all numb, and, not thinking beyond the frigid moments, I didn’t record the ‘Feels Like’ temp from the weather app on my phone. ‘Cold wind coming off the ocean’ doesn’t do it justice! It was a lovely, ice-cold outing and I was happy to see the shining faces that were peeking out of knit caps, hoods, hoods- over-hats; the mad- bomber hat had to have been the warmest one there. Those faces included Nancy Asahina, Phil Caliva, Bob Clark, John and Diana Hamo, John Hummer and his better half – ME, George McHarris, and Chris Yusi.
All I can say is, Spring arrives in the early hours next week. It will be a gift to the lidless-car group!
