The 54th edition of the Dana Point Festival of Whales was held on March 8th and 9th.
Unfortunately, the recent rain cancelled the annual British Invasion Car Show on Saturday, March 8th, but it was held as scheduled on Sunday.
The show was held on a grassy park on Dana Point Harbor Drive and included the British Cars along with the Orange County Corvette club, the local Woodie club, and some other classic hot rods.
Attending the British Invasion were about 30 cars, including Healeys, MGs, Triumphs, Lotus’, and Jaguars. We had good foot traffic from the many Whale Festival visitors. The weather was perfect, with sunny skies and warm temperatures.
Attending from AHASC in their cars were Peter & Alexandra Roses, Jeff & Diane Boysen, Mike Biss & Anna Johansson (MG), Tony & Debbie Trentacost, Dick Ames, Chris Savage, Phil Caliva, David & Jackie Deamer, Dick Ames, George Merino (Lotus), Tom Biss (Lotus), Bob Clark, and Tim McNiff.
Visiting members included Jay and Katy Miller who stopped by early on their way to visit family in San Diego. Later in the day Steve and Cindy Kirby, Steve Heck, and Jim and Sandy Bennett put in appearances to visit and check out the cars on display. Dave Karaffa even brought his yellow Jensen Healey, but parked away from the show location.
A great day was had by all.
