San Clemente Car Show 6/8

Phil Caliva | Published on 6/8/2024

Well, I guess I represented the Healey Club at the show, with no other Healey’s to be seen. I ended up driving my 1956 Ford F100 Pickup so Nancy could ride in comfort (it was lightly raining this morning on our drive south).

This was another super car show with every type of Hot Rod, Low Riders, Classic American and foreign-made automobiles, pickups of every color, year and shape, Woodies, of course at the Beach! and a new, big bandstand, with great bands all day.

Like I said, a great show, the weather turned sunny and very pleasant , plus I estimate roughly over 25,000 plus spectators, dogs, kids and of course The Marines are always present at this show, being that Camp Pendleton is next door and that is their playground.

The picture was taken by my cousin Louis Ciulla, depicts my 56 Ford Truck in the background and my dear friends from San Juan Capistrano (Tom and Shelley Evans), Louis’ wife ( Maureen ) and my wonderful wife Nancy.
