The weather at 7:00am was very pleasant as I drove out to Pierce College for Viper Day at Supercar Sunday. When I arrived Phil Caliva, Chuck Lakowski, and Clay and Monica Kaytis were already parked and chatting. No sooner had I parked than Jack Gies pulled in. As we were all catching up Fred Cohen walked over to say hi, having driven his Corvette this morning.
Not to be forgotten, Rich Jones, who drove his repaired BJ7 for the first time since the radiator and fan incident on PCH.
I took a few pictures of our cars and drivers and headed for the “roach coach”, old work-related term.
After getting my coffee and burrito I headed back to the group, who were, surprise, preparing to leave for the breakfast buffet at the Vintage Market, at Trancas Canyon and PCH. All except Fred, who had settled into his chair by his car.
So, it was left to me to check out the not-so-large group of Vipers, the other interesting car in the parking lot and represent the Healey community. The sun was out, the morning pleasant, and the spectators had questions. Before I knew it, it was that time; time to head back to Glendale and put the car in the garage.
