From the Vice President

Well, another year is gone and hopefully everyone had a chance to enjoy their Healey’s in 2022. If not, you have another year coming to get out there and drive it! The only Club events in January are the Rose Parade Route Cruise on the 1st, since the parade is being held on the 2nd this year, and the Tour de Orange also on the 1st. This is an unofficial event and is starting from in front of the California Pizza Kitchen in Fashion Island this year.

In February we have the always great San Juan Capistrano Show on the 11th which also is the date for the monthly club points Orange County Classic Cars & Coffee; maybe Alice will change the date.

I have been approached by NASCAR asking the club to participate in their car corral at the race on February 26th.

We will be able to display our cars and attend the race. Cost is $55 per car and driver and $40 for passengers. This includes parking in the corral and a great grandstand seat.

We have 30 seats set aside for the club in section 80 rows 26-28 and these seats are currently selling for $180 each on the web! This will be the Final NASCAR race on the track in its current configuration, so if you ever wanted to attend a NASCAR race this is your opportunity and registration is open on the web site.

March is typically the Dana Point “Festival of Whales”, and I will keep you posted when I hear something from Mike Scroggie.

In April we will be having two club events. The First is a tour of the Nethercutt Collection on the 15th, after the United Artists Theatre Cars & Coffee and then the Queen’s English show at Woodley Park on the 23rd.

Hope to see you at the events!
