Some of us braved the soon-to-be 100 degree plus heat in their classic ride, to see friends and have breakfast at Farmer Boys. Others wisely chose an air-conditioned ride. We are always glad to get together, whatever you drive. (But Sandy and I were kidded about the Miata!) When Sandy and I arrived in our future classic Miata there were already real classics there. Jimmie Davis was probably first in his AH 100. Allan Perry was there in his AH modified. Randy Clary and Gary Clendenning each brought a Jensen-Healey. Bill Wilkman and Jim Cregg drove their AH Bugeye’s. Bill's was sporting his newly restored and installed 1958 correct Sprite windscreen. Bill also just installed new floor coverings that he fabricated from Hardura, and he made some stainless steel rail covers to complete the look.
Also there to eat and socialize were Brad Benson, Paul and Cheryl Hamilton and the family of Jimmie Davis.
His family from Texas were in town for a reunion and included Shawn Davis, Krysta Davis, Zakari Davis, Dakari Davis, Lamonte Gray and Hope Scott. They thought the weather would be nicer in California but ran into our heat wave. I hope they enjoyed the get together anyway.
Our next meeting will be August 4th. Same time, same place. Join us if you can.
