From the President

Published on 12/1/2016

It’s hard to believe we’re at the end of yet another year. They say when you get over the hill, you pick up speed…I guess they’re right!

If you followed last month’s Dynamator Tech Session article, the second part is included in this issue. The good news for you late model BJ8 owners (1965-1967), we now have a solution for replacing your generator with an original looking alternator. The bad news is that will cost you more and it is a more complicated installation.

So far, we’ve had disappointing sign-ups for the Christmas/Holiday party on Dec. 18th at the Shoreline Yacht Club. Be sure to sign up, it promises to be festive and fun. George Merino is inviting people to come early, 10AM or later, for Mimosas on his yacht in the harbor. Also, please bring an unwrapped gift for Toys 4 Tots.

As most of you know by now, the Golden Gate Healey club is hosting the Monterey International Healey Week in September of 2017…see the notice in this issue. As of last count, about 75 parties are signed up, including 21 from Australia! AHASC registrations are only about 11. This event will likely sell out, as there is only space for about 300 parties. I encourage you not to miss this event, as it will be one for the ages…the last of the 50th Anniversary Big Healey celebrations. Get your registration in soon by going to www.Healeyweek2017.com.

We have recently placed re-orders for AHASC club Regalia, including patches and baseball caps. We are also planning on placing an order soon for personalized club name badges and “magnetic wings”. See the article in this issue for examples.

Kathy and I pass on our best wishes to you and your family for the Holiday season.
