This month I was out of town in Vegas for a brief anniversary vacation with my wife of 38 years, Alexandra. Add in 5 years of dating - that makes almost 43 years of Healey talk and me working on my BN6. Who says there are no living saints on earth? Now for Saturday, on hand were seven members and Hive cars; and according to Steve Gerow, no Magpie’s for breakfast. However, Jack Gies, Lon Bender, John Hedblom, Phil Caliva, Dex Kaytis, Chuck Lakowski, made the meet.
Sorry I missed them.
Updates are as follows; Steve has completed the installation of a third brake light, as have I, and at the next UA Meet we are going to have a vote on the best aesthetics and brightness. Plan on attending and casting your vote on best “third brake light” installation.
On a separate subject, but Healey related, Steve Gerow sent me a thorough write up on modern vs. classic fuel and the problem that modern blends have in our engines. The article states that our cars do not perform nearly as well on modern fuel blends, causing vapor lock, hesitation when hot and poor performance. To make things even worse, changing formulas for summer and winter blends does not help. A good read for those who wonder why their car runs like merde (French) at start up and after a good run.

Join us next month on March 16th to vote on the best third brake light and catch up with our members and perhaps join us for breakfast.
Until then -
