Early Sunday morning, I bundled up facing a 50- degree chill and headed to the Balboa Peninsula in hopes of meeting up with the terrible trio: AKA Chuck, Phil & Tim. They did not disappoint.
Chuck and Phil were already parked, with Tim coming in shortly thereafter, having been held up by a massive traffic jam, a result of the earlier pallet Gire under the 10 FWY. Not many cars were there but the coffee and OGS (Other good stuff) were great.
Then it was time to head out to the Legacy C&C in Tustin.
They wanted to take the 55 FWY, however I convinced them to go via PCH and Jamboree Rd. since I was driving with my windscreen in the fold down position. Most Classics had already arrived as we were latecomers to this event. It was a good showing featuring mid- engine and engine –in-the – rear powerplants.
John Hummer and I also attended the Hero’s and Horsepower Veterans Day Car Show held at the Marconi Museum in Tustin on Sat AM. Met Henry Smith (former AHA member) who brought his Jag. It was a nice tribute for the Vets attending, with free food and snacks for them and their families.
