This was the 32nd edition of the classic car show sponsored by Street Rods Forever car club. The date was about a month later than in the past and may have contributed to the lighter turnout of cars.
There were many prime examples of rat rods, muscle cars, mid-century American, exotics, and European sports.
Driving to the show for me was piece of cake, thirty minutes from home. I wish all events were this close. My friend, Ed Carpernilli, arranged a space for Five cars to be together in a shady spot. George McHarris and I arrived at almost the same time; however, everyone else must have arrived very early. We were the last to park as we waited for the boys from La Canada to arrive.
As the day went on and more folks arrived, our cars took on more attention. We just couldn’t win a prize for ‘Best Import’. It was a very nice venue with shops and restaurants open and lots of foot traffic. Those attending were George Merino, George Mcharris, Chuck Lakowski, Phil Caliva, and Tim Mcniff.
