San Diego British Car Day 8/13

Quite early on Sunday, the 13th of August, several of us, with our fun cars, caravanned over the blue Coronado bridge and spent the morning and most of the afternoon at Tidelands Park at the San Diego British Car Day 2023.
Joining John and me were Mike Biss with his MG (Healey at sea), Tom Biss in a Lotus, George McHarris in his 100, Nancy Asahina riding shotgun in Steve Schryver’s MGB, Anna Johansson and her dog drove a BJ9, the Deamers in a Corvette (Healey at sea), and local Terry Cowan drove one of his stable of Healeys. Some of us met in Santa Ana and others joined us in San Clemente, and the caravanning plan and execution was as much fun for me as the event itself.
The water made for a gorgeous backdrop and the San Diego British Car club Council did a wonderful job. Two hundred and thirty cars participated, and our own George McHarris won the trophy for his class.
