Petersen Museum Breakfast Cruise In 3/26

The Petersen Museum held a Cruise In at the end of March after a few months of special events. So, I headed down to Wilshire Blvd and Fairfax to see who from the club would show up. Entering the parking structure a few minutes before eight am I found a sparse assortment of cars on hand. Dan Burrola was next to arrive in his white ‘64 BJ8. Shortly after that David Thorne and his daughter Lucia parked his 1966 BJ8 directly across from my car.
Dan and I headed for the coffee and bagels and then took a stroll through the cars checking out the vehicles on display. That was when we discovered an orange Jensen Healey and its owners, Stan and Pearl Haveriland. After an extended conversation with them I headed back to my car for more conversation with David and Lucia. They decided to do a quick tour of the museum and Dan, who had returned, and I then saw Charles Covington pull in in his square body Sprite. More catching up with Charles on his car and future restoration efforts.
When David returned to his car after touring the museum a pleasant surprise awaited him. He had been awarded the “Best in Show” trophy from the Petersen Museum staff. A very notable event given the competition from all the classics and exotics on hand.
