Nine club members, four Healeys, one classic Ford and a TR6 met for a sub 40 degree Saturday morning on our first point’s day of the New Year. Most of us camped out in the Starbucks warming up with coffee, tea or any hot drink and then it was time to go back to the cars.
Arriving back at Phil Caliva’S 1940 Ford Deluxe Tudor we saw not only his new acquisition but a Plat tire. With all of those Healey breakdown experts on hand, we offered up several options to Phil. Phil settled on AAA and waited on the Plat bed arrival while most of us headed over to Magpie’s for breakfast. After all, breakfast is more important than sticking with a fellow friend to make sure he is safe. JOKING! AAA is notorious for saying they will show up at a specific time and then showing up much later.
Phil said he would be OK and we were off.
At breakfast we enjoyed the open talk with our friends and a good hot meal. Thanks to Phil C., Chuck L., Tim M., Dennis W., Steve G., Dan B., Jack G. & Lon B. for showing up on a cold morning.
Hope to see you next month on Saturday February 18th at the UA.
Until then
