Greetings Group, We kicked off our 2023 New Year with our gathering at Farmer Boys in Riverside. It was a very cool morning, 42 degrees in Redlands, as we left for Riverside. A nice break in the rain and well timed for our event. There was clear sky mottled with high clouds. Regardless of the bite in the air, we still had top down or no side curtain attendees. We were not one of them. I think some of the top down people had a fairly short drive.
The photo plaque we awarded them last month, celebrating our gathering, hung proudly on the wall below the manager's picture. I hope you all noticed.
Randy Clary showed us a custom bell housing he is in the process of fabricating to upgrade the transmission in Jensen Healeys. More to follow as he gets farther along. Randy Main brought some antique license plates from the teens to show.
Those in classics were: Bill Wilkman - '47 Austin A-40 Dorset, Kevin Spangler - '57 Chevrolet Nomad, Randy Clary - '73 Jensen Healey, Allan and Tina Perry - '60 Austin Healey 3000 RHD, Jim Gregg - '67 Austin Mini Cooper S, Pat and Cleta McInturff - '52 MG TD, Tom Yaeger - '76 MGB.
Those in future classics: Ron and Sandy Davies - '13 Mazda Miata MX5 PRHT, Jimmie Davis - '04 Mercury Marquis, Randy Main - Dodge Ram, Larry Reynolds - ‘08 Infiniti G37-S, Bob Saber - ‘21 Jaguar F-type R.
Hope you can join us next month on February 4th. Meet us at Farmer Boys in Riverside on Alessandro Blvd. at 8am for banter and breakfast.
Cheers
