Greetings, fellow Healey enthusiasts. I would like to thank you all for your vote of confidence in electing me the President of our AMAZING club. I am humbled by the honor. I have some large shoes to fill, following in Steve’s leadership. I am confident that with the support of Steve, Mike, Peter, Tim, Alice, Anna, and the other club leaders, I will keep us as one of the premier Austin Healey clubs.
I know Steve is looking forward to spending more time planning our adventures. His current focus is on this year’s adventure, where we will once again enjoy some epic driving. The trip will start in England, at the Goodwood Revival, with 12 Healeys that left on the ship from the port of LA on July 12th. Then work its way through France and down to Italy. There will be amazing driving routes, beautiful scenery, wine tasting and local foods and best of all, great times and great memories with our Healey family. Steve even has a cooking class planned in Tuscany (and I suspect with some more wine tasting included).
And to keep Steve even busier, he has also started cranking up the planning for next year’s tour to the International Healey meet in Norway.
He is coordinating 40 Healeys from across the US, including those that stayed in Europe at the end of this year’s tour. Like this year’s trip, Steve is pulling out all the stops, making an additional driving trip through Norway, Sweden, and Denmark in conjunction with the 6th European Healey Meet in Norway. Stay tuned for more information from Steve. Again, thank you all for your vote of confidence.
Now, start driving and showing off your cars.
They are always such crowd pleasers. It seems wherever we go, people want to share their Healey stories. It brings back some great memories as they share. And as always, if you have ideas or suggestions, please feel free to reach out.
