This month’s marque was British Cars and there was a good turnout of different makes, including Triumphs, MGs, Jaguars, Mini’s, and Rolls Royce’s. The most interesting Rolls was the pre-war Boattail convertible. Club members Ron Fine, Russ Thompson, Dan Burrola, Jack Gies, Tim McNiff, and Steve Karolyi were on hand with their “Big” Healey’s and Amanda Cole and her driver Art Perez, showed their white Bugeye. Also being shown by non-members was Gary’s 100-4, Joyce Maeda’s Florida Green/white 100-6, and Russ Persky’s red Bugeye with the Bimini top.
By 8am the parking lot was getting crowded with new arrivals and spectators, who were very interested in looking at and learning about our Healey’s. First-timers at Pierce College from the club were Ron Fine, Steve Karolyi, and Amanda and Art. They were impressed with the large turnout of cars and the overall organization of the monthly Marque event; from the open campus bathrooms to the on- site food truck.
With the time approaching 10am, people were firing up their engines and joining the lineup of cars heading for the exit.
Another Super Car Sunday in the books.
