From the Vice President

We have had a good start to the year with our events, but it appears that the number of club members participating in them is down from previous years. It may be because the number of events out there is increasing post-pandemic, with many in conflict with each other. The April 9-10 weekend is an example, with Queens English, San Diego British Rolling Car Day and the OC Classic C&C happening on the same day.

We have a couple of good events coming up in June, the Huntington Beach Concours on the 5th (not a Club event) and British Cars at Super Car Sunday, Pierce College, also on the 5th a Club event. The Highway Earth Car Show at Franklin Park reservoir June 26th is also a Club event.

July appears to be bleak with only the European Classics at Super Car Sunday (a Club event) currently on the calendar. The Central Coast British show has  been moved to October 2nd and there’s no British Car show at the ADM. I continue to get notifications daily.

If someone has any ideas for shows or events that are different from our normal Club events, please let me know.

August has the Dana Point Lantern District Car Show on the 28th as a Club Event and September is the San Clemente show on the 10th as well as Old Town Monrovia on the same day, and Laguna Beach at the end of the month.

Hope to see everyone in Palm Springs. Hopefully the weather will cooperate, and it will be relatively mild.
