Greetings Group, It was raining in Redlands at 6:30am and it didn't look like we would get a break in the weather, but we did. It turned out to be an excellent morning. My backyard was not Healey friendly because of the rain. I would have to drive over the soggy lawn to get a Healey out so we decided to take a daily driver. Don't pity me too much as my Miata is a very fun ride.
There was a good crowd when we arrived at Farmer Boys. We started with hot coffee in the parking lot and catching up with our friends.
Andrew Spangler drove his Bugeye from Costa Mesa. Bob Baron came up from Palm Desert. Those with their classic cars were: Andrew Spangler - Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite - Tom's grandson - keeping the faith, Jim Cregg - Mini with a V-tek mod, Bill and Diane Wilkman - Austin A40 Sports, Tom Yaeger - Plymouth Prowler, Kelly and grandson Gerret Barton – MGA, Randy Clary and Sergio Ontiveros - Jensen Healey, Dan Mensinger - Sunbeam Tiger.
Those in others: Ron and Sandy Davies - Mazda Miata, Jimmie Davis - trusty old Mercury, John and Marisue Meza – Audi, Kevin Spangler – Toyota, Bob Baron – Fiat.
A much better turn out than I expected due to the weather. Seventeen people and seven classics. A great group to share stories and breakfast with.
We will meet again on Saturday April 2nd.
Hope you can make it.
Cheers . . .
