HEALEY CLUB HOLIDAY ZOOM MEETING REPORT

Steve Kirby | Published on 1/1/2021

On Sunday, December 20th about 15 members joined a Zoom meeting to celebrate (lament?) the Holidays. The virtual meeting was in lieu of our usual Holiday Party. As we usually do at that party, we asked the Board members to report on their areas of activity.

STEVE KIRBY, President Steve reported that the Club, despite  enduring a tough 2020, is active and well- staffed. As much as possible, it was business  as usual. Steve also reported that Conclave planning is continuing, and signups have been very strong.

MIKE SCROGGIE, Vice President Membership Mike reported that membership was up to 230, the most in recent history, with 98 also being AHCA members, the most ever.

Twenty-nine new members joined in 2020, also a high.

JAY MILLER, Treasurer Jay reported that the Club was on budget for 2020 and due to the cancellation of the Tech Sessions and Holiday Party would run a small surplus. 2021 budget calls for a small de8icit, but the Club has a very strong balance sheet and a large reserve, so this is of no concern.

GREG ADEN, Vice President, Activities Despite the challenges this year which resulted in many of our usual activities being cancelled or postponed, many members were still active, attending their local Cars and Coffee events regularly. Greg has a good number of events already planned for 2021, so check the listings in this issue. Don’t forget the kickoff event on January 1, the Tour d’Orange. Watch your email for details.

TIM McNIFF, Newsletter Editor Tim thanked his many contributors and again urged members to send in their articles, stories, photos, and ideas. All input welcome. Tim received special thanks from Steve and the membership for his consistent production of a high quality and timely newsletter.

CHUCK AND DAWN LAKOWSKI showed off their newly received Spirit Award, holiday lit and in a place of honor on the mantel, which was presented by Dex Kaytis the prior weekend. Chuck asked, and was given permission, to replace the Big Healey on top of the trophy with a Jensen Healey while the trophy was in his possession.

After many goodbyes, the meeting was adjourned. Thanks to all those who participated.
