Hopefully, everyone had a great Father’s Day weekend and were able to get out in your Healey’s.
As far as club events, it appears that most events across Southern California are starting up again with the lessening of the crowd size restrictions so we have decided to re-start the points competition effective July 1. Phil, Dexter, and Chuck can start accumulating points again but it appears that a couple of other members may be giving them a run for their money.
The June club event, the British Car Show at the Automobile Driving Museum was cancelled. New member Steve MagofBin and I were unable to attend the Lewis & Clark Rally in Oregon at the last minute.
We do have one Club event in July with Peter’s Tech Session on the 18th.
Thanks to Phil Caliva, I am Binalizing the details for us to have a club day at the Collectors Car Vault in Santa Paula on August 15th (www.collectorscarvault.com).
They have been gracious enough to open their facility to the club for a private tour of the cars in the collection; including a catered lunch if we wish. Due to the current covid-19 restrictions we are limited to 50 people, so I am asking for everyone interested to register on the club website before July 27th. Maybe we can organize some caravans from the various areas, i.e. the South Bay, Orange County, Pasadena etc.
Also, Peter Roses is looking to put together a group who would like to overnight that Saturday in Ventura or Oxnard for a weekend of Healying.
In September we will be having two club events. The Birst being the Autocross, BBQ and Scenic Drive with the Tiger Club in Big Bear on the 19th. Then the re- scheduled Queens English show on the 27th at Woodley Park. So, it looks like things are starting to get somewhat back to normal.
Keep safe and see you at the events!
