Greetings Group, Well, we started off 2020 with a new record turnout for our breakfast at Farmer Boys in Riverside. It was a clear but chilly 43 degree drive in our modified AH 100 so Sandy and I bundled up. I looked like Kenny from South Park with my hoodie scrunched tight over my face but at least my ears were warm. We drive to the event through San Timoteo Canyon and it heads west directly into the rising sun. I mean so bright you have to look at the center line instead of the road ahead. About mid canyon I suddenly heard a " Whup-Whup-Whup " loud slapping noise like a flat tire. The car however felt fine. I pulled my hoodie down to listen and realized the noise was just a helicopter above us. Whew! " Keep Calm and Motor On.” I don't know who was first to arrive as there were already several people there when we pulled in. All told we had 17 people and 14 classics and future classics; we all drove very nice cars. These are the car guys and gals that were there. *Jim Cregg in his Corvette 454, Bob Tindell in his Porsche, Kevin Spangler in his '57 Chevy Nomad, *Allan and Tina Perry in their AH modified, *Jimmy Davis in his Merc Grand Marquis, *Gary Clendenning in his Jensen Healey, *Bill Wilkman in his AH Sprite, *Randy Clary in his Jensen Healey, *Chuck and Dawn Lakowski in their Jensen Healey, Bob Saber in his Jaguar XK, Larry Reynolds in his Infiniti G37S, Tom Yaeger in his MG TD, Sergio Ontiveros in his BMW Z4 and *Ron and Sandy Davies in their AH 100 modified. I hope I didn't miss anyone. I think I'll start a sign-in sheet next time. We pushed together a record number of tables and enjoyed another good breakfast. Many thanks to the staff for their great service.
Come join us next month if you can. We get together on the first Saturday of the month at Farmer Boys in Riverside on Alessandro Blvd. at 8:00am.
