Well, the Scottsdale auction week is behind us and even though I did not attend this year (First time in 5 years) I vicariously watched them on the internet and TV and saw some amazing prices for a couple of Sprites and a good sell through of the Big Healey’s at all the auctions. In general prices appeared down a little on the driver quality cars but the high-end cars are still garnering a healthy price. I have included my annual recap in a separate article for those interested.
As far as the club events, there has been a great turnout of members at all of the January events and we have two Club events in February with the San Juan Capistrano Show on February 1st and the car show during the 2020 So-Cal Historic Sports Car races at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana on the 8th. In March we have the ever popular British Invasion at the Dana Point Festival of Whales on March 14th and 15th and in April its Queens English on the 5th and Peter Roses Spring Tech session on the 18th and then finally the Healey Rendezvous at Lake Tahoe in May with Steve Kirby’s tours going and leaving for those interested.
It has been great seeing Phil Caliva at all the club events in January plus many more other events and special thanks to Nancy and Dexter for being his chauffeur.
I am still looking into adding some new and interesting events this year and any recommendations are more than welcome.
See you at the events
