Greetings, Sandy and I really bundled up for this month’s drive to our Farmer Boys breakfast. It was only about 45 degrees when we started out, an hour earlier than normal, at 6:30am. The sun was just coming up and the morning clouds dotted the blue and pink sky. A beautiful morning. We were leaving early to attend the Corvette West Car Show at March Airfield Museum after having breakfast and collecting everyone at Farmer Boys.
Nine of us caravanned the short distance to the show and entered the Museum grounds and parked as a group. We were right there among the vintage aircraft. We could walk up and touch them, even go inside some of them.
There were cars parked all over the place; in and around the static displays. There was another group of foreign cars at the opposite side of the show. It was a popular vote show and we didn't have any winners in our group.
The Import class winners were VWs and Porsches. I think it was due to the scattered parking. Voting was confusing.
Those members attending the show were Ron and Sandra Davies, Bill Wilkman, Jimmie Davis and his friend Jack, Jim Cregg, Randy Clary, Chuck and Dawn Lakowski, Tim McNiff and Dexter Kaytis.
JensenHealey owner Gary Clendenning, who filled out his application for membership at the show, was also on hand.
Our breakfast next month is back to the normal time of 8:00am on Saturday December 7th at Farmer Boys on Alessandro Blvd. in Riverside. We hope to see you there. Cheers!
