Conclave 2019 Pre and Post Tours




The AHASC had a record turnout for the trip to Conclave 2019 in Deadwood, SD. Steve Kirby led one group who shipped their cars to Denver, CO and flew there to drive their Healeys on to Deadwood. The group included the Kirbys, Cowans, Millers, Lakowskis, Deamers, Adens and Zepeda.

 

A second group, led by Peter Roses, towed their Healeys and departed SoCal on Sept.

 

3rd, and included the Roses, Scroggies, Biss’, Trentacosts, Neumeyers, Thompson and the Boysens who joined up after visiting the Zion & Bryce Canyon national parks.

 

Their first overnight was in St. George, UT. The following morning, they proceeded to Salt Lake City to drop off their tow rigs and continue on to South Dakota to meet up with the main group on Friday.

 

Another group had their Healeys shipped from the Pasedena area to Rapid City, SD led by Steve Gerow, including the Ames, Fishers, Merino/Gomez, Williams, and Bender.

 

Finally, a few AHASC members proceeded to Deadwood according to their own route and schedule, including Phil Caliva, Dex Kaytis and John Hedblom.

 

The entire AHASC group met up for lunch on Friday and continued on to Deadwood, as a group through the Black Hills.

 

After the five-day Conclave event, the first two groups returned across northern Wyoming to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. The main group then returned via Salt Lake, where they dropped their Healeys off for shipment, while they flew home. The Roses group fly fished one day in Yellowstone and continued on through the Tetons, and southwestern Wyoming and fished the Green River before returning to Salt Lake to pick up their tow rigs.
