Well, March is behind us and thanks to everyone who participated in the Festival of Whales weekend and especially to those that helped us man the club booth at the Classic Auto Show.
To me the Auto Show was a total bummer of an event compared to the first two years.
The organizers put the car clubs in a parking lot past the main buildings and therefore many of the attendee’s did not come out to visit us since they thought it was general parking. About 80% of the clubs did not come back for Sunday. It is a shame since the participation of the car clubs was instrumental in getting the event off the ground three years ago. One bright light was we did get two new club members and gave out several applications.
In April we have Queen's English All-British show on the 7th and the Tech Session on the 13th at Dennis Williams' new garage. I am looking forward to seeing it completed and his stable of cars. For those who want to do a great scenic drive in North San Diego County there is the "Rolling British Car Day".
Then we have the month of May; and if you look at the calendar there is no shortage of club events with three: the British Extravaganza at Buttonwillow, Healey Week in Temecula and the Scottish Games in Costa Mesa besides the normal calendared events.
See you all out there.
