From the President

Published on 6/1/2018

Now that June is here, we can look forward to the coming warm weather and vacations.

No excuse for not getting those Healeys out on the road! I’ve noticed that the past month’s events were more sparsely attended and the competition for the Spirit Award for event attendance has gotten tighter.

Speaking of events, our group of 11 Healeys have arrived in The Netherlands and we depart for Amsterdam to begin our 2018 European Healey Meet (EHM) adventure on June 1st.  If you would like to follow our 3 week European tour, you can do so by going to my blog at www.thescrogblog.wordpress.com and clicking on the” Follow” button.  Steve Kirby is also doing a blog of his “Bucket List” adventures in England and will be joining us on the continent for the  EHM tour.  You can track his blog by going to https://stevesbucketlist.com and registering.

Planning has progressed with California Healey Week 2018 in Solvang this coming October.  We now have nearly 80 parties registered.  We will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the introduction of the Sprite; Greg Aden and Bill Wilkman are working on a suitable tribute.  Stay current with the progress and any announcements about CHW on the home page of the website.

Lastly, as you know June is election month.  So, be sure to vote for your favorite local, state and federal candidates and your new 2018-2019 AHASC officers by filling out the enclosed club election ballot and returning it to Tim McNiff by June 20th.

Happy Healeying, Mike
