It was a bracing drive from Glendale to the Petersen Museum this morning. I arrived to find Dex Kaytis, in his yellow Bugeye, and Phil Caliva, in his Alfa Romeo GTV, already parked and drinking free coffee. The parking area was rapidly filling with Ferraris of every model; the museum was honoring Enzo Ferrari on his birthday.
Member David Thorne, with his teenage son in the car, managed to get one of the last parking spaces by us, parking his red BJ8 which had recently returned to the road after a number of months of repair. The culprit – a deer! While our cars were being admired by an enthusiastic crowd we strolled around the venue checking out the cars. In addition to the Ferraris, classic to futuristic, there were other very interesting cars on hand. As the morning wore on the sun came out from behind the clouds and I had a very enjoyable drive home.
