Greetings Group, First of all, Happy New Year! Let's all have an excellent 2018. Second, Wow! We had a record turnout for our Farmer Boys gathering and breakfast. Great Southern California weather again. Please don't send pictures to your friends on the East Coast.
Jimmie Davis in his AH BN2 was the first one there again. He said he had been losing sleep looking forward to it. Sandy and I were next with her AH BJ8. Then, we had a surprise visit from Kevin Roots and Pat Dailey in an "Enigma". An Enigma is a modern Healey-flavored handcrafted car built on a Miata chassis. Most of us had never seen one. Kevin is the US and Canada distributor for these cars and can be reached at his web site, enigmacarsusa.com.
Also attending in Classics, but I lost track of the order, were Allan and Tina Perry in their AH Modified, Brad Benson in his Volvo P1800ES, Jim Cregg in his Morris Racer, Bill Wilkman in his Austin A-40 Sport, Chuck and Dawn Lakowski in their Jensen-Healey, Bob Tindel in his Porsche, Laurie Jordan in his AH BJ8, Richard Priebe in his 2002 T-Bird, Bob Saber in his Jaguar and Jim Judd in his '59 AH 3000.
Joining us without their Classics were Tony Platt, who has an AH 3000 that needs some help, and Tom Spangler, whose Bugeye Sprite is getting the wrinkles out and a new paint job.
We needed to push more tables together than ever before. We had a total of 19 guys and gals in our group and 13 Classics in the parking lot. A very successful event. Part of the fun is that this group owns a very eclectic variety of classic cars and you never know what will show up. What's in your garage? If you missed us this time, then come join us next month to see if we can break the record again. After our breakfast at Riverside Municipal Airport we are planning a tech session to help Tony Platt get his Healey back on the road. You are all welcome.
Cheers
