Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday season. As we enter the new year, we are announcing that reservations are now open for California Healey Week, taking place this October in Solvang.
See the flyer and registration form in this issue. You can either register online at www.austin-healey.org or by sending in your form and check. It promises to be a fun event, so be sure not to miss it.
The club Holiday Luncheon on December 10th was the best attended in recent years we had over 75 attending the event at the Shoreline Yacht Club in Long Beach. We collected toys for the USMC Toys for Tots. I received a nice email from a retired Marine Colonel thanking us for supporting their annual toy collection, which benefited families of Marines deployed overseas.
Greg Aden has been working hard on the event calendar for the year. See the upcoming events in this newsletter and on the website event calendar. The year kicks off with the annual Tour d’ Orange on New Year’s morning. Sadly, I will miss this fun event, as we will be kicking off the New Year in Tahoe. If you have any event suggestions, please contact Greg.
If you haven’t yet renewed your 2018 dues, you can go to the website and click on the Renew button and follow the instructions.
Happy Healeying, Mike
