Woke up to the reality of Dallas Raines’ forecast of a deep marine layer. I felt like I was driving through rain in suspension on my way to the Petersen Museum. The third floor of the parking garage was sparsely occupied when I pulled in. In the next thirty to forty-five minutes more cars arrived as it became apparent that it was not going to rain.
After wiping off the car I headed for the coffee and bagels. The crowd was growing and the line at the refreshment tables was starting to lengthen. After getting my coffee and a couple of bagels I made my way around the parking area checking out the wide variety of cars that had shown up.
Of interest was the Tesla sports car, a Holden sedan (Holden is a car manufacturer in Australia that just closed its doors), a Citroen panel van, and three different models of Alfa Romeo’s. Just as I thought I was going to be the only Healey on hand, in drove Dave Beugen with his 100-4.
With the overcast continuing to remain over the event I decided it was time to head for home and a drier and warmer environment.
