The past month has been a busy one for the club. There were three major club events which covered the Inland Empire down to La Jolla and into the San Fernando Valley. Getting the Healeys out in public is great for the club and the Marque.
I was extremely impressed by the great turnout of cars for the Queen’s English show on the 23rd.
There were 20 members there with Healeys (and a couple in MG’s). Of course there were also our recurring events which you can read about and find out what’s doing in more local areas.
Tom Spangler writes about the Orange Plaza Classic car show which usually draws over 400 cars; and there is a short article about the auction of the last production Big Healey which was held in Europe.
Everyone might want to check out the tight race for the Spirit Award and review the Calendar and Upcoming Events to decide where you will be taking the Healey next.
Finally, this is the month when you, the membership, get to decide what direction the club is going to take and what kind of events will be on the calendar.
Officer nominations are now open. Take a moment to fill out the nomination form in this month’s issue, or go online to the website and click on the button to go to the nomination survey and fill out your choices there. Both Mike Scroggie and Steve Kirby have indicated they will not be filling their position for the upcoming year, so decide who you want to see leading the club into the future and nominate them! See you on the road. . .
