From the President

It’s been a great month for our Healey gatherings.

We’ve had several weekend car gatherings as well as the Seal Beach Car show and California Healey Week 2026. At the Seal Beach car show, we had 16 members of our Healey family and an additional 32 friends with lots of stories and catching up on families, cars projects, and events. A couple of weeks later, we got together in San Diego for California Healey Week 2026. We had Healey folks from as far away as Oregon, Michigan, and Maryland. We had 110 folks at CHW in total including 30 from the Golden Gate Austin Healey Club (GGAHC), 23 from the Austin Healey Club of San Diego and 52 from AHASC. It was another great get together and was successful with help from many of our club members as well as Laura and Terrey Leyland and others from the San Diego club. The final bookkeeping isn’t quite finished yet but  looks like we made a profit for the event. Now we can start looking forward to the International Healey Meet next year as our next big event.

75th Anniversary International Healey Meet- As you may have noticed, the registration for  IHM2027 is open along with the Regalia store (with lots of great stuff). In case you missed it, IHW 2027 is planned for Lake Tahoe in June 2027. Currently, we have over 114 full registrations including folks from as far away as the UK, Norway and Australia as well as Canada, Rhode Island and Florida and we are still a year out. When you have a couple of minutes, you should go to healey75.com and check it out.

There will be lots of great cars, exhibits, drives, and social events planned to keep everyone busy.

In addition, there are pre- and post- events in the planning that will expand our Healey seat time with our fellow Healey friends and family.

More to come on the pre and post events.

Healey North/South Meet- David Nock from the GGAHC (VP) has suggested a get-together later in the year. The thinking is based on gatherings that occurred in the past. The thought is to get together about halfway between the Nor Cal and So Cal areas- say Cambria for a couple of days. It would be an informal event with the group staying at the same hotel where we would enjoy each other’s company and take a couple of drives. Will keep you posted as we flesh out the thoughts.

Western Regional Tech Sessions- For those who are not members of the National Club (AHCA,) we are holding monthly Zoom Tech Sessions. They are rich in information, where members ask questions, and several tech experts discuss technical issues and make recommendations/present potential solutions.

Our tech experts represent well over a hundred years of knowledge and experience. You may want to consider joining the National club and join us for these tech sessions. Time well spent. Home - Austin Healey Club of America, Inc.

As always, when considering having work done on your cars, please consider our sponsors. They help our club and provide rare (albeit vanishing) and needed services and products. Safe motoring, stay well and see you at the upcoming events.
