From the President

Well, fall is here.....- The perfect time for  drives and get- togethers. Now that  it’s Finally cooling off, we can get out on longer and more spirited drives. This last month had some memorable gatherings including our celebration of Dexters life, the Healey Conclave and several Cars and Coffee events. Another car enthusiast also contacted me with questions about restoring his Healey. He is in the middle of the engine rebuild right now. He has lots of questions and may be joining us soon.

There are still Healeys out there waiting to get back on the road and just maybe join our family.

Dex Kaytis’s Celebration of Life & Memorial drive- By all accounts, Dex’s Celebration of Life, drive and service were a great gathering with lots of storytelling. I know it meant the world to Windy, Clay and Monica to have Dex’s Healey family there to join in on the story telling and sharing memories of the great times with Dex. We have lost a Great American, friend, and wonderful father. God Speed Dex.

New members- Please join me in welcoming our two newest members- Nancy Anderson and Jim Beardsley. Nancy hails from Laguna Hills and has a 1975 MGB Roadster but really wants to buy a Healey one of these days. Jim hails from Redondo Beach and has a 1961 BN-7 MkI.

Conclave 2024- Road America, Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Well, it’s a wrap for Conclave 2024.

Steve Kirby shipped 6 cars to the event allowing for some extra time to catch some of the local sights. We had 12 members attend and Steve came away with some great ideas for Conclave 2025 and CHW 2025 as well. The Conclave had over 225 registrations. There were lots of old acquaintances to catch up with and many new friendships made.

Sierra Passes Tour 2024- As a Final reminder, don’t forget about the fall color Sierra Passes Tour scheduled for October 18-20th. There may still be an opening or two or late cancellations, so contact David Nock at the GGAHC for more info (events@goldengatehealeys.com).

Annual AHASC Holiday party- 2 months to go- Please block out your calendar for Sunday December 15th for our annual holiday party.

Once again, George Merino has coordinated with the Shoreline Yacht Club to host our get-together. As soon as we have the website set up, we will let you know, so you can sign up. As before, we will also be collecting toys and batteries for Toys for Tots.

As always, please keep up the great support to the local drives and events and check out our website for upcoming events. Our rides bring a lot of joy to so many people.
