Greetings Group, Summer is here and the heat is on. It was 106 degrees in Redlands yesterday and it was already 80 degrees at 7:40am when we arrived at Farmer Boys in Riverside.
Sandy and I wimped out and drove our Mazda Miata which has air conditioning. We did at least make the drive to Riverside with the top down but knew we would put it up for the trip home.
I expected a light turnout due to the heat to come. Boy, was I wrong. A few others were already there at 7:40am but more and more kept arriving. We were going to have a large group this time. I failed to get a few names, but I counted 23 people. I also counted 11 classics and a few soon to be. Question? Does a car have to be 25 years old to be Classic? Of special interest this time was Sergio Ontiveros's '69 Chevy Camero SS 396. It's his new ride and a total restoration. Beautiful car. Congrats Sergio.
We couldn't stay in the parking lot too long since it was warming up. A quick breakfast and beat the heat home.
