Hope everyone had an enjoyable April and were able to get their Healey’s out and enjoy them. I finally got my BJ7 back on the road after getting the clutch replaced and then having someone hit it on the right rear. Nothing major but a pain in getting it repaired.
May events start with California Healey Week on May 13-17th. If anyone is interested in making a side trip on the way back there is the British Extravaganza Historic Car Races at Buttonwillow Raceway the weekend following. Then there is the ever-enjoyable Scottish Fest Car Show on the 25th & 26th at the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Participants will be able to get their Jill of meat pies and haggis. This year the Fairgrounds are requiring you to pre-sign for the show, if planning on attending make sure you let Bart Smith know at bartley.smith@libertymutual.com.
June 1st is the Jirst “The Great Britian’s” Show in conjunction with the Huntington Beach Concours the following day and both events are designated as club events. The following Saturday, June 8th, is the San Clemente Car show in downtown San Clemente and it is a great event to attend if you haven’t been there before.
Finally, on Saturday, June 22nd is the British Car Show at the Zimmerman Automotive Museum in El Segundo.
