I sure am glad September is behind us! Besides the now usual-for-2020 event cancellations we have had the fires and smoke to contend with.
The Collectors Car Vault Tour has been postponed to October 24th due to the Conclave Planning Meeting being pushed back a week. Hopefully, by then the weather will be nice, the fires over, and the restrictions lessened. Unfortunately, the San Diego British Car Day in October has been cancelled.
Therefore, we have designated the British Swap Meet at Steve Kirby’s shop and the San Clemente Show as a Club Event on the 10th (need to attend both to get full points). The Collector Car Vault event on the 24th will be a Club event as well. Additionally, on the 10th there is a new show at Irvine Lake that will have some of the cars from the Ford vs Ferrari movie.
So, some of the adventurous members can make it a threesome for the day. So far, we do not have a Club event identified for November, but if anyone has any ideas let me know.
The board has decided to have the Holiday Party at the Shoreline Yacht Club in Long Beach again this year as the alternate sites are uncertain at this time and we can eat outside on the upper patio area if needed. So, put December 20th on your calendar and more details will be provided as we get closer to the date. Hopefully, after the election, things will free up more and we can begin to get back to normal, but I doubt it! Keep safe and see you at the events!
