Conclave Car Show

On the second day of the Conclave they held two different car shows. The first was the Official car show for the attendee’s held at the Deadwood Rodeo Grounds, the second was a Public Car show on Old Historic Main Street benefitting the local area Girls and Boy’s club. The official car show was held from 8:30-10:30, where the conclave attendee’s voted for the best of each various Healey type.

It was a challenge to get all the cars aligned in the correct area but the organizers did a great job. You had to put on your walking shoes to get around to each grouping spread around the parking lot. Voting for the best cars in each category was a challenge also since there were so many great cars from all across the country. How do you choose from over 50 fantastic late model BJ8’s? After this show we then gathered for a parade through Main Street Deadwood on to and through the town of Lead, home of the historic Homestead Goldmine, and back to Main Street Deadwood where we parked for the second show. Kudo’s to the local police and volunteers along the route who herded 260+ Healey’s through the area in an organized and safe manner while locals and tourists lined the streets. The second show on Main Street was a success raising over $2,000 for the local Girls and Boys Club.

After the show we lined our cars up under the Deadwood Sign for our official conclave photo.
