It’s that time of year again, we are entering our dues renewal period for 2018. You should have just received your renewal notice via email. You can pay either online via the website (credit card or PayPal) or through the mail by check. For those national members (AHCA only, not AHCUSA), you will be billed by us and we will forward the national dues to them.
You should have heard by now, we will be holding California Healey Week next year in Solvang at the Hotel Corque from October 17-21, 2018. It promises to be a gala event, with great drives, wine tasting, Rocker Cover Racing, Car Show and Awards Banquet. The registration form will be published by the end of the year...stay tuned for more announcements.
The annual Holiday/Christmas party will be held on December 10th at the Shoreline Yacht Club again this year. George Merino is our host and invites members to join him and Teresa on their yacht in the marina for champagne around noon.
The yacht club will be available for cocktails at 1PM and we will be seated for lunch about 2PM.
We are limited to 60 people and already have 50 registered, so don’t delay...see registration information in this issue. We will be collecting Toys for Tots, so if you can, bring an unwrapped gift.
How many “Barn Find” Healeys do you encounter any more? Well, I was recently contacted by Jud Gross via the website about a Barn Find 1960 BT7 Healey. The car was stored (hoarded?), along with various machine tools and other cars in a barn in Auberry, CA (Sierra foothills between Fresno and Oakhurst) since 1973. Jud is offering the car for sale, see the Classifieds section for further information.
Kathy and I wish everyone the best of the Holiday season.
Happy Healeying, Mike
