Track Day at Auto Club Speedway- 3/6

March 6 :Saturday 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM: We are planning a Track Day at Auto club Speedway for Healeys to be held in conjunction with the scheduled Route 66 Classic Vintage Auto Racing Association (VARA) events of the day. We plan to be able to show our cars , have pit access with Monise Motors who will be hosting a BBQ lunch, and we will be able to drive your car on the big oval used by NASCAR and the road course used by the American Le Mans series. Good tyres & brakes are necessary for tech inspection. Roll bars are not required as no wheel to wheel racing will take place. A special drivers meeting will be held for Healeys prior to running on the track. We (John Nikas) has negotiated a great fee of only $100/car-driver to run in the Time Trials. This covers two gate passes good for the entire weekend, VIP parking in a special Corral for our Club and rooftop viewing of the races on top of the speedway suites.Frank Monise & Sons of Monise Motors have been instrumental in making this event possible. We plan to have our Healeys on the track on Saturday in two sessions, and will allow approximately 10-15 laps per session. Final schedule will depend on the number of cars that will be running. We hope to have about 30 Healeys participating.

Please complete and suubmit the entry form that you recently received ASAP. This event will be a one of a kind chance to experience the thrill of driving this track in your Healey.

If you do not care to participate, only the general admission fee of $10/person/day need be paid. If you are bringing your Healey you can take part in all other facets of the days events. If you arrive with your"other car" you will need to park in the general parking area and will be able to enjoy the BBQ and Special Viewing of the Route 66 Auto Races. In both of these cases, you may elect to participate in the "Noontime Casual drive on the track" behind a Pace Car at low speed (usually < 50mph) for a fee of $20.
